The Government of Uzbekistan is delighted to invite you to the 1st International Fruit and Vegetable Fair and Conference that will be held on July 12-14, 2016 in Tashkent.

Uzbekistan is an important regional player in the agricultural market with a strong emphasis on fruits and vegetables processing. Since 1991 the country has managed to double its' volume of agricultural production.  Currently, over 18 million tons of fruits and vegetables are produced annually in Uzbekistan, including: 12,59 million tons of vegetables, including potatoes, 1,85 million tons of melons, 1,56 million tons of grapes, 2,73 million tons of fruits. By further optimizing the cotton crop area and introducing modern agricultural technologies, Uzbekistan is planning to increase the production of fruits and grapes by 21.5%, other vegetables - 30% by the year 2020.

Uzbekistan is interested in attracting advanced practices and technological equipment for further development of the agricultural processing industry. Therefore, the event might of great interest to the following companies:

  • producers of fresh, dried or processed fruits and vegetables;
  • international and local transport and logistic companies,
  • export-import companies,
  • globally recognized experts in agriculture as well as companies which are interested in exporting their high tech equipment to new markets.

The Government of Uzbekistan invites companies and organizations to participate in the event, meet with government agencies and potential local partners and visit historical cities of Samarkand and Bukhara. Foreign participants of the fair will be issued Uzbek visa at no charge.
