Call for Expression of Interest: Suppliers of Turnkey Chocolate Equipment to Build a Factory in Uzbekistan

31 May 2012

Uzbekistan has an increasing demand for confectionery products.  Domestic consumption is estimated at about 500,000 tons annually.  Today, the country's chocolate production level stands at 110,000 tons per year.  The rest is offset by imports from Russia, Ukraine, China, Iran, Turkey and other countries.

This Call for Expression of Interest is to identify US suppliers and manufacturers of a turnkey equipment to produce chocolate in Uzbekistan.  The Uzbek Government will provide financing for equipment and technology purchasing.
According to the Uzbek Embassy, the Government of Uzbekistan will support this project by allocating land as well as providing logistical infrastructure, including natural gas, water, railroad and automobile road.  Additionally, US businesses will be considered for incentives and privileges granted by the Uzbek Government.

If your company is interested in this opportunity, please contact Laziz Kudratov, Commercial Attache of the Uzbek Embassy in Washington, D.C. at kudratov@mail.com or (202) 679-9945.
