The American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) seeks to promote trade and investment ties, cultural exchanges and bonds of friendship between the United States of America and the Republic of Uzbekistan. In performing these functions, the AUCC places primary emphasis on serving the needs and interests of its members.

Vice President for the World Bank and IFC visits Uzbekistan
http://www.worldbank.org of 9/15/2012 - On September 13-15, 2012, Mr. Janamitra Devan, Vice President for the World Bank and IFC Financial and Private Sector Development (FPD) visited Uzbekistan. The main objective of the visit was to take part in the international conference "On the role and importance of small business and entrepreneurship in the implementation of social and economic policy in Uzbekistan" held on September 14th 2012 in Tashkent. Mr. Devan, as one of the keynote speakers at the conference, delivered the speech on the Vital Economic Role of the Private Sector in Uzbekistan and Globally.

In the course of his visit Mr. Devan has had a meeting with Uzbekistan authorities, private companies and made a city tour around Tashkent.
